Alfio Mozzi Rosso di Valtellina 2023 2025 L'Assemblage Part 2 Jean-Bernard Larrieu has been Jurançon'sNebbiolo from the steep schist terraces of Valtellina, where the grape is called Chiavennasca and behaves nothing like its Piedmontese cousin. Alfio Mozzi is a third generation grower in Castione Andevenno on the western edge of the Sassella zone, farming 3. 5 hectares of free draining schist between 350 and 550 meters elevation, much of it on terraces his grandfather built. The Rosso is the entry into his range: lighter on its feet than Sassella,
